VERSION 2026-10-02-v1
Rental agreement & request terms.
The request terms below explain the AV8FLY request process. The aircraft rental agreement that follows is a starter template for the owner and renter to complete and review with their legal and insurance advisers. Sending a request or acknowledging these terms does not confirm a rental or execute that unfinished template.
AV8FLY rental request terms
- Owner approval comes first.
AV8FLY connects renters and owners. A request is an inquiry, not a reservation, aircraft release, or permission to fly. The owner and renter must agree to the specific flight, aircraft, availability, and written rental terms before use.
- Qualifications and checkout.
Provide accurate certificate and experience information. Complete the owner’s required checkout and receive approval for the aircraft and intended use before flying. The pilot in command retains responsibility for aircraft operation.
- Insurance review.
Provide current evidence of renter / non-owned aircraft insurance. Confirm with the owner and insurer that the policy, limits, aircraft, dates, and intended use meet the rental requirements. An uploaded COI or an owner’s review label does not itself confirm coverage or issue insurance.
- Rates and flight details.
Confirm the wet or dry rate, billing method, fuel arrangements, checkout costs, taxes, fees, deposit, cancellation rules, pickup, and return conditions in the final owner agreement. AV8FLY currently does not collect rental payments or confirm bookings.
- Aircraft condition and operation.
Review maintenance and inspection records with the owner, including the annual dates reported in the listing. Do not fly an aircraft with an unresolved condition that makes operation unsafe. Follow the approved aircraft limitations and the owner’s agreed use restrictions.
- Incidents and return.
Promptly notify the owner of discrepancies, damage, incidents, delays, or unexpected maintenance. Follow the agreed return arrangements and document aircraft condition. Costs and damage responsibility must be addressed in the final signed aircraft-specific agreement.
- Document sharing.
The COI and signed agreement attached to a request are shared with that aircraft’s owner for review. They are not placed on public aircraft listings. The owner’s unsigned agreement may be made available to signed-in prospective renters through its listing.
